MORETO ENTER .POLITICAL QUIZ No Affidavits Today—l 926 Primary Probe Hint. Additional witnesses will be called today by Prosecutor William H. Remy and his aids, John W. Holtzman and Emsley W. Johnson, in' continuing probe into alleged state-wide political corruption, it was announced. Although it has been predicted more affidavits, other than those returned against Mayor John L. Duvall and his brother-in-law, City Controller William C. Buser, charging alleged fraud in making out campaigftn statements, will be filed, no action will be taken today, prosecutors said. Wednesday afternoon it was believed the State staff was probing affairs of the primary and election when Oren Davis, head of the Horsethief Detective Association,; Paul Bridges, Marion County Voters’ League, and Miss Lillian Springer, political worker, were called. Davis and Bridges, following the 1926 primary, charged irregularities in ballot counting. John F. Ranier, former chief of the city assessment bureau, was called.
