BAUM REPORTS REDUCTIONS IN BANKJGRIMES Association Manager Predicts More Decrease With 1927 Enactments. Marked reductions in crimes against member banks of the American Bankers’ Association have been reported by James E. Baum, manager of the protection department, who says that the organization’s nation-wide campaign against criminals is increasing in effectiveness. His report, made to the Bankers' executive council committee, is borne out by statistics covering Indiana, according to Miss Forba McDaniels, secretary of the Indiana Bankers’ Association, 70 Out of 92 Miss McDaniels attributes the decrease in this State to the organization of viligantes in seventy of the ninety-two counties and aredicts that with enforcement of the 1927 legislative enactments the decrease will be accelerated. The new laws will provide a State clearing house of identification in the office of Secretary of State and will also give life sentence for bank banditry, with a minimum of ten years. These laws were fostered by the Bankers’ Association. Deputized Citizens "Vigilantes are deputized citizens who are ready to act as officers if there is a bank robbery,” Miss McDaniels explained. “Since their organization the number of daylight hold-ups have been decreased until now they are almost nil. Whatever bank robberies there have been throughout the State recently have been burglaries." Figures for April show two burglaries, one daylight hold-up and two thwarted attempts at burglary. According to the Baum reports an appreciable reduction is noted in forgeries, swindles, and sneak-thefts. Workers in Brazil are compelled by law to take an annual vacation of fifteen days.

I got Konjola and three bottles of this medicine ended every ache and pain that I had. I any completely well and have never missed a day at work the whole winter and fall. The swelling and soreness is gone from my legs and the kidneys and bladder trouble is ended, can sleep all night, and the stinging pains never come over me any more.
