THIEVES PRESENT VARIETY BILL IN - NIGHTSJHEFTS Jewelry, Chickens, Clothing Money and Food Stolen, Police Are Told. Thieves staged a variety program Wednesday night, stealing jewelry, chickens, clothing and money, and looting an occasional ice-box for refreshment. Mrs- Nettie Bird, 321 W. TwentyNinth St., told police two diamond rings valued at SSOO were taken from her home. She named a suspect. Eighty Chickens Stolen Edgar Byers, R. R. J 2, Box 236, said eighty chickens valued at sllO were taken from the coop at hi3 home. Mrs. J. W. Warien, 5514 Washington Blvd., said her purse was stolen. It contained $32 and a check. Mrs. Ralph McKinney, 3352 N. Sherman Dr., found the ice box rifled. She said several other families in the neighborhood have been robbed recently. Confesses Three ‘ Slayings

The move was taken to forestall possibility of abandoning the Broad Ripple school when new Shortridge High School is completed.
