DECLARES BELTER DAYS LIE AHEAD IN GREAT BRITAIN Lord Kylsant Makes Industrial Only Condition to Prosperity. By United Press LONDON, April 22.—Great Britain haa emerged strengthened from a year of industrial farfare, and a revlval of prosperity depends only on the willingness of employers and workers to work rather than fight, Lord Kylsant, new head of the White Star Line, declares. “The coal strike, coming on top of the general strike, inflicted lmmens losses on the country,” Lord Kylsant said. “But it has disclosed strikingly the wonderful latent resources of the nation and its ability to carry on in the face of great obstacles and difficulties. Given freedom from labor troubles, British trade and commerce should enter upon anew era of progress and prosperity. Learned Lesson “We have passed through a critical and difficult period, but if we have learned the lesson it has taught —the necessity for strenuous co-op-eration between employers and workers to promote industry and trade—we shall, I believe, emerge stronger and more able to hold our own in the future, "Shipping reflects the state of the country’s trade, and there are now indications of betterment in various directions which I hope will materialize and steadily increase. ALKALI POISONING KILLS WILD FOWL Federal Official Urges Protective Measures. tßy United Press WASHINGTON, April 22.—Increased restrictions must be placed on hunting privileges in Western states to safeguard the future supply of wild ducks, geese and other migratory wild fowl, according to Dr. E. W. Nelson, chief of biological survey, Department of Agriculture. Dr. Nelson stressed the seriousness of the wild fowl situation in the Rocky mountain and Pacific coast states and said that conditions will not Improve until steps are taken to Bear River marshes, Utah, the lower Klamath Lake, California and Malheur Lake, Oregon. This must be done, Dr. Nelson says, to give the birds sufficient fresh water to combat the poisoning,
