COOLIDGE GIVEN PRIVATE VIEW OF MOTION PICTURES Producers Carry Out Arrangement Providing President First Showings. I>ll V nitrd I'rrsH WASHINGTON, April 22.—Not only does President Coolidge receive lic/ns, turkeys, ducks, bears, rugs anjl household furniture as gifts—he aliyj gets in the movies for nothing. Under an arrangement with the Mdtipn Picture Producers Associating! the good pictures are given an advance free showing to the President either in the private east room of’the White House, on the presidential yatch Mayflower or on his special trains when he is traveling. Only the President, Mrs. Coolidge anti the house guests he may have witness these private showings. Two a Week touring the winter movies were offered to him as many times as two evenings a week. During the summer there are fewer showings. But during his summer vacation alwoad from Washington a special rom is sot aside as the movie room anil some pictures are shown to him ♦here. During the week end cruises of the yacht Mayflower the showings are on Saturday night; none are shown on Sunday. An army or navy ©§iplain always goes with the Pfesifor religious services on Sunday. Special Machine Used A special small projection machine 1 a£ been furnished to him so that it an be set up in a moment with ' ar( electric attachment anywhere.
