PARKWAY PROIECI DRAWS PESTS Creek Plans Held Up by Board After Hearing. Property owners aired their views on the proposed Fall Creek parkway south drive, between Central and College Aves., at a park board meeting late Thursday. The improvement, if ordered, would make a boulevard from Bellefontaine St. to Capitol Ave. The board, after hearing a number of persons, took the matter under advisement, and according to President John T. Milnor, will announce its ruling in three weeks. John Saulter, 2710 Southerland Ave., made the most vigorous protest against the parkway plans, which, he said, had been ‘‘popping up” for the last sixteen years. Saulter, a property owner, declared the improvement would mar the natural beauty of the river banks, destroying primitive scenery and creating a traffic hazard. Saulter suggested that a pathway be built along the Fall Creek bank, instead of a parkway, so as not to mar its natural beauty. Attorney Merle N. A. Walker, representing J. F. Rainier and E. J. Barnett, property owners, voiced approval of the parkway plans and declared they were willing to sell at ‘‘reasonable’ 'prices. They opposed the pathway.
