MARTHA LEE RECEIVES • TWO SUNSHINE LETTERS Proving Not All Her Mail Is of Unhappy Kind —Read Them, They Will Do You Good, She Says. By Martha Lee All the letters that come to this desk, do not contain problems or ask for help or advice. Some of them want to give these things to others. Two letters from hapjlV married women arrived through the mail, almost together.
Heading them may help some unhappy folks, for the best little sermons are those that are lived! Dnar Martha Uee: I road the Kiri's loti or ill which she spoke ot marriafre as a “slavery." I have been married 11 years, have four children and a husband to do for. I wash. iron, do lots of sewing, cook, make garden and raise chickens, .vet do I think myself a slave? 1 should say I do not! I'm the happiest person in ten slates. Why shouldn't I be?—my husband loves me. m.v children depend upon me and no one has a more contented family. When we were married we had next to nothing. Now we have a nice home and a bank account. My husband and I both have faults and occasionally have little fusses, but they blow over quickly. I made up m.v mind years ago that nothing should mar our home happiness if T could help it. I love pretty clothes and have few. but that can't sour me. There are years ahead and I hope to enjoy every day as it comes. I prefer the sunshine of life, but if “Gqcl sends rain, why. rain's my choice.’’ I am “8. HAPPY AND CONTENTED. Who can doubt that “Happy and Contented’s” resolve early in her married life to let nothing inharmonious work into the home life, has helped to keep happiness there? She's Happy, Too Dear Martha Lee: 1 am a woman. 20. and have been married eight years. They have all been wonderful years, except the

third one. when T allowed myself to get into a jealous line of thought. During that time I made life a misery for both myself and my husband. Fortunately X was brought to my senses before my home was broken up. Now 1 don t believe the man or woman lives who could break up our little home nest. This is simply because l believe what be says and would have to actually see him do something wrong to believe it and I think I would even then have sense enough to judge him fairly and make allowances. if any were due him. My husband is 31. a contractor and comes in contact with dozens of women in a day's time. He is also out on business frequently at night and when he comes home, he feels free to tell me of things he has seen and heard. We talk of his business and the happenings of the day and X harbor no slightest suspicion of him. I think a lot of women drive men away from them by nagging and by taking all and giving nothing in return. I am a fun loving woman and above all tilings, like to be loved. So. in return I try to tie loving and encouraging. THE THREE TAME BEES (B. B. B.) Notice, dear jealously inclined folks, that the woman of the above letter by a suspicious attitude of mind, says she ‘‘made life a misery for both herself and husband.” Many persons who suffer agonies from Jealousy are really gfetting the shadowed reflection from their own doubts and fears.
