RECEPTION FOLLOWS CEREMONY Forry-Johnson Nuptials; Take Place at Tabernacle Presbyterian. The marriage of Miss Caroline Malott Forry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin H. Forry, 2134 N. Alabama St., and William Averill Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Downing Johnson, 2060 N. Alabama St., was solemnized Tuesday evening at the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church by the Rev. W. Ambrose Dunkel. The chancel was banked with palms, ferns and standards of white lilies and roses intermingled \vith blue hydrangeas. Cathedral candles lighted the church. Preceding the ceremony Paul Mathews, organist, played a. program of bridal airs. Miss Cecelia McDermott, maid of honor, wore a period style frock of blue taffeta with plaited tulle ruffles, edged with silver threads. The skirt was caught at the side with a silver bow. The bridesmaids were Miss Mary Flor- > ence Malott and Miss Katherine Malott Brown, wearing gowns of blue taffeta and carrying arm bouquets of silver anjj pink Columbia roses with blue iris, and Miss Eleanor Green and Miss Mary Kennedy of Martinsville, wearing pink taffeta and carrying the same kind of bouquets. The bride, entering with her father, wore a white satin gown embroidered in pearls with long train and veil. Her arm bouquet was of roses, lilies of tfi® valley and orchids. Charles Henry of Anderson was best man, and the ushers, Arthur V. Brown, William Walker Johnson Os Cincinnati, John Churchman, Paul White, John Downing Johnson of Minneapolis, and Taul Munsell of Chicago. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Woodstock Club, j where the fireplace was banked with palms, ferns and clusters of white flowers. After a wedding trip the couple will be at home in Indianapolis.

RICH DROP COOKIES Work cup butter until creamy, add one and one-half cups of sugar, gradually stirring, then add three beaten eggs. Dissolve one teaspoon of soda in two tablespoons of hot water and add to mixture with two cups of flour which has been sifted witii one-half teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Then add one cup of nut meats, one cup jteeded raisins and one and onefourth cups more of flour. Drop by spoonfuls on buttered tin and bake fifteen minutes. Mrs. Mary Lehman, 3115 E. The proceeds will go for the school benefit. Mrs. John Louden is president of the Parent-Teacher Club and Mrs. W. E. Mason is chairman of arrangements for the minstrel.
