Bit United Press GARY, Ind., March 11.—One man was dead and another dangerously injured here today following a fight for possession of a small package of cocaine. Refugio Rivera, 27, was shot to death when he attempted to wrest the drug from Cirilo Silva, 37, after Silva had flaunted it during an alleged drunken brawl. Mayor E. Tinkham of Hammond, Mayor Raleigh Hale of East Chicago, Mayor Glover of Crown Point and Mayor Floyd Williams of Gary headed the party which left hero on a special train Thursday. Others in the party included R. G. Bursch, secretary of the Hammond Chamber of Commerce; Sheriff Ben Strong, and John Ward Wheeler, State district representative of the American Legion.
