HAYNES BOOSTED BY DRY FORCES Favored for Prohibition Commissioner. Times Washington Bureau. ) 1322 New York Avenue WASHINGTON, March 9—Organized prohibitionists are massing their strength to make Roy Haynes the prohibition commissioner under the recently enacted prohibition reorganization bill. Senator Frank B. Willis of Ohio, their spokesman in the 'Senate, has urged President Coolidge and Secretary Mellon to name Haynes. The Anti-Saloon League and several church organizations dedicated to prohibition enforcement also have submitted strong recommendations for him. For the past two years Haynes has been acting as a liaison officer at $7,500 a year between Prohibition Andrews, the anti-Saloon I.eague, and member of Congress. He has no authority otherwise. Before Andrews, Haynes was the head of prohibition enforcement. At the Treasury Department rumors are that Haynes, despite his solid support of dry organizations, will not be appointed. URGE PHYSICAL EXAMS Forestall Disease, If Taken Regularly, Says Physician. Importance of periodical physical examinations as a means of foresialing diseases before they attain serious proportions, was stressed by Dr. Joseph L. Miller, professor of internal medicine at Rush College, Chicago, in an address Tuesday night before the Indianapolis Medical Society at the Athenaeum. A discussion of physical examinations followed, led by Dr. C. P. Emerson, dean of the Indiana Lniversity School of Medicine; Dr. Robbert M. Moore and Dr. James 11. Stygall.
HE QUIT TAKING MEDICINE AFTER HE USED KONJOLA Four Years of Stomach and Kidney Trouble Was Ended 7 Months Ago by the New Compound. “I certainly know about the merits of this new' Konjola, because it completely ended the health troubles I had been suffering four years and I haven’t taken any medicine in seven months, because I am still

in perfect condition since I used your compound,” said Mr. Ora Brannan, -well-known Indianapolis citizen, living at 529 N. Elder St., this city, while talking recently with The Konjola Man at Hook’s drug store, Pennsylvania and Market Sts., fhdianapolis, where large crowds are calling daily to find out for themselves about this surprising medicine. ' N - * “My suffering was caused by disordered stomach and kidneys,” said Mr. Brannan. “The food I ate wouldn't digest right, and I suffered with gas which, bloated me up seemed to almost cut off my breath. My heart would flutter and .jump and every bite I ate seemed to lay in my stomach like a piece of rock. Even a drink of water or glass of milk would hurt me. My kidneys were weak, and sharp, agonizing pains would catch me in the back. [ could feel the pains clear up my shoulders, and sometimes a liquid would rush into my mouth like a fountain and. wduld burn just like scalding water. I was very restless at nights and always got up feeling tired and achy in the mornings. “In this condition I started taking Konjola, over seven months ago. At first I noticed my stomach was improving, and I could sleep better at night. As I continued with this medicine I improved so rapidly I believe I was the happiest man in our neighborhood. Anyway, when I had finished a little over five bottles I decided my health was about as good as anybody's at my age. So I waited a month or two and when none of my old troubles came back I hardly knew what to make of it. I willingly gave full credit to Konjola, and have been ,praising this medicine to everybody I know. It certainly is wonderful the relief I got. My stomach is in fine condition and T am free of all yie kidney trouble. "T seat anything I want, and nothing hurts me. My sleep is restful, and I feel find in the morning and finish up a good day’s work and never get tired when evening comes. I am mostly thankful for being free of pains in the back. No one would ever know I had a sick day in my life now. “Yes, I want to indorse Konjola to everyone, and would be glad to personally tell anybody about this medicine.” The Konjola Man is at Hook's drug store, Pennsylvania and Market Sts., Indianapolis, where he is daily meeting the local public and introducing and explaining the merits of this remedy. Konjola is sold by all the Hook stores in Indianapolis, and every druggist in this section.—Advertisement.
