AUTO TAGS STAY SAME The Wedeking-McClellan license bill, increasing automobile licenses from a minimum of $5 to SB, was killed in the Indiana House of Repre sentatives. Gary, Senate Bill 99, taking appellate jurisdiction over bond issues away from the State tax board and placing it into the hands of tho local Circuit and Superior Courts, was brought back from the Indiana House of Representatives, and is now slated for slaughter. Holmes voted for the bill when it passed the Senate, but now declares that it is a vicious measure and should be killed by the Senators. It was roundly condemned by Chairman John J. Brown, of the tax board, wlio declared that they might as well abolish the board as to leave It with the power to set levies with no control over expenditures.
