RITES ARRANGED FOR LIBRARIAN Hughes to Be Buried Wednesday. Bu Times Special TERRE HAUTE, Ind., Feb. 15. The funeral of Mrs. Sallie C. Hughes, 70, for thirty-three years connected with the Fairbanks Library here, who died Sunday night, will be held at the Methodist Temple at 3 Wednesday afternoon. Fallowing a short illness at an Indianapolis hospital, Mrs. Hughes was removed to her home on last Wednesday with attending physicians holding no hope for her recovery. For more than fifteen years Mrs. Hughes had been head of the Fairbanks Library, arid one of the leaders of the State Librarian Association. She has been honored by being head of that organization several times. The passing of Mrs. Hughes has t*Jten from this State one of its most prominent women. She has been an active church member for years. She is survived by one daughter, Mis'h Ethel Hughes, a public school'teacher at Terre Haute. Fatima kept her age to herself and weighed 2,000. A short tmie after Fatima died, Old A Bill followed her. Now they will ™ stand side by side in the Peabody Museum at Yale. Bill was an Indianarmored rhinoceros and she an African hippopotamus.
