TAKEFOR A MET BACKACHE Drink Lots of Water All Day Long to Keep Kidneys * Flushed. Too much rich food forms acids which excite and overwork the kidneys in their efforts to filter it from the system. Flush the kidneys occasionally to relieve them like you relieve the bowels, removing acids, waste and poison, else you may feel a dull misery in the kidney region, sharp pains in the back or sick headache, dizziness, the stomach sours, tongue is coated, and when the weather is bad you have rheumatic twinges. To help neutralize these irritating acids and flush off the body’s urinous waste, begin drinking water. Also get about four ounces of Jad Salts from any pharmacy, take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few days and your kidneys may then act fine and bladder disorders disappear. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon bitied with lithia, and has been used for years to help clean and stimulate sluggish kidneys and stop bladder irritation. Jad Salts is inexpensive and makes a delightful effervescent, lithiawater drink which millions of men and women take now and then to help prevent serious kidney and bladder disorders. By all means, drink lots of good water every day. —Advertisement.

Wise Cracks * Mark Barber Bill Scrap After the longest debate that has marked discussion of any bill on third reading in the Indiana House of Representatives this week, the Werner-Rlngo barber bill passed Thursday, 51 to 44. The bill, which now goes to the Senate, provides for creation of a State board to inspect and license barber shops. Discussion waxed humorous and general belief was that the bill would “have a close shave.” "You're next,” said Speaker Leslie in recognizing Representative George L. Saunders (Dem.), Adams and Wells. Saunders opposed the bill. He said the worst shave he ever got wax in a licensed shop in Michigan. Mrs. Clara A. Mason (Rep.), Terre Haute, was applauded when she took the floor for the first speech of her legislative career. Mrs. Mason favored the bill. RELIGIOUS BILL BACK Another Attempt, for Passage Will Be Made In Senate. Twice defeated, the religious bloc staged a comeback in the Indiana Senate Thursday. Although their bill for part-time religious education in the public schools failed to muster a constitutional majority, it showed a growth in popularity and another trial for passage will be made.
