The safety today was to consider resignation of Orville (Jigger) Hudson, widely known policeman in Indianapolis, Hudson resigned Monday after being questioned about a fight Saturday night. Sir George was born June 21, 1826, during the reign of King George IV and the early years of Queen Victoria's reign. In 1845 Sir George entered the Grenadier Guards and served thirty years with that crack outfit. He fought through the Crimean War and twice was promoted on the field of action for bravery. Sir George found a last minute thrill in life from the announcement that the Coldstream Guards, which be. commanded from 1879 to 1884, had sailed for service in China. LOUISVILLE MAN GETS PRESIDENCY VanArsdel Chosen to Head Interstate Service Cos. E. Van Arsdel of Louisville will become president of the Interstate Public Service Company of Indiana, effective March 7, it was announced Monday night by Harry Reid, retiring president, at a dinner given In his honor at the Columbia Club. Company directors will formally elect VanArsdel at their meeting March 7, Reid said. Reid assumes the presidency of the National Electric Power Company, an Insull company operating electric, gas, Water and traction properties in twelve States. VanArsdel was with Reid five years as vice president of the Kentucky Utilities Company and came to Indianapolis in March, 1917, to join Reid with the interstate ns operating manager.
