FOUR HELD IN DEATH INQUIRY • Bonds of Kokomo Men Are Are Increased. Bu Times Special KOKOMO, Ind., Jan. 25. —Four Italians indicted by the Howard County grand jury on statutory charges after being implicated by Joseph Bruno, whose bullet-riddled body was found near Knox, Ind., were in county jail today unable to furnish an additional $3,000 bond. Their bonds originally had been fixed at $2,000. Sheriff John Spearman indicated that the men probably were being held for further Investigation in connection with the murder of Bruno. • Police working on the case encountered much difficulty when they sought to interview Italians relative to the murder. It is probable that the bonds were increased to prevent the Italians from going beyond Indiana boundaries. Antonio Bruno, father of the slain youth, does not believe that his son was murdered by Italians, but was murdered by an American, his second son, Frank, said.
