MOVE TO BOOST GAS TAX,REDUCE AUTOJJCENSES Drastic Decrease in Car Tags Is Considered by { Representative. A move to boost the State gasoline tax from 3 to 5 cents per gallon and a drastic reduction in the automobile license tax, was under consideration today by Representative Elmer C. Garrard, Republican, of Montezuma. Gerrard let it be known that he has been conferring with State Automobile Association officials and to lies m DRINKME n If Your Back Aches or Bladder Bothers, Take a Little Salts t The American men and women must guard constantly against kidney trouble because we often eat too much rich food. Our blood is filled with acids which the kidneys strive to filter out; they weaken from overwork, become sluggish, the eliminative tissues clog and the result is kidney trouble, bladder weakness and a general decline in health. When your kidneys ftvl like lumps of lead; your back hurts; if you suffer with sick headache, or dizzy, nervous 3pells, acid stomach, or if you have rheumatism when the weather is bad, begin drinking lots of good soft water and get from your pharmacist about four ounces of Jad Salts. Take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for a few days and your kidneys may then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for years to help flush and stimulate clogged kidneys, to neutralize the acids in the system so they no longer are a source of irritation, thus often relieving bladder disorders. Jad Salts is inexpensive; cannot injure, makes a delightful efferevescent lithia-water drink and belongs in every home, because nobody can make., a mistake by having a good kidney flushing any time.—Advertisement.

Better Distribuition Plan It is contended that the proposed plan would make for a more equitable method of the distribution of license and tax fees paid. Representative Gerrard was reluctant to outline his plans, pending the drafting of the bill and getting an expression of public sentiment. Under the plan the license fee on all types of pleasure cars, regardless of horsepower or weight, would be •1. Truck license would run from $2 to $5 for the heavier type of truck. Look for Efficiency Lessening of fees from license tags would be offset, it is contended, by the increased gas tax. An additional saving is outlined by citing the reduced cost of collecting the gasoline tax as compared with the cost of license distribution. Application forms would be revised and the notary fee, which is estimated to cost Indiana auto owners *200,000 annually, eliminated. Distribution of the funds collected isalso being considered. It is hoped that a plan can be worked out by which an equitable distribution of the funds can be- made as between the State highway commissison and the counties. _ .
