WON LEAGUE •SEEKS REVISION OF GAME LAWS Bill Asks Utilities to Pave in Small Cities —Session Snappy. Upholding Its record for snappy sessions under the gavel of Lleutenannt Governor F. Harold Van Orman, the Indiana Senate got underway at 10 a. m. today, had all bills In and recess called In thirty minutes. A bill revamping the game laws and fostered by the Izaak Walton League was Introduced by Senators L. G. Bradford, South Bend, and Claude S. Steele, Knox. It will require that all fisherman secure licenses. Limit on Bags The bill makes Jan. 1 to Sept. 30 a closed season on rabbits and Nov. 1 to July 31 a closed season for squirrels. Bags of rabbbits are limited at ten and squirrels to five. Apyll 15 to June 15 is declared a closed season on game fish and bags are limited to from six to fifteen. Bradford introduced a bill permitting cities of the second, third and class to demand utilities pavK between car tracks. At present ” e law applies only to first-class cities. Anybody may be named a beneficiary of insurance policies if a bill introduced by Senator Edward O'Rourke Jr., is passed. lie introduced a bill raising the service fees for constables. Limit Raised Senator Howard A. Cann, Frankfort, introduced a bill which will permit county commissioners to expend as much as SI,OOO on ditch improvement, without consent of the court. The present limit is S3OO. Senator Orin Markle, Elkhart, introduced a measure which will give both Elkhart and Do Kalb Counties their own circuit courts and combine La Grange and Steuben Counties in one circuit. The body aqted favorably upon the revised report of the committee on mileage. It was pointed out by the Lieutenant Governor that no provision is made for him to share in this disbursement, but he thanked lho Senators for showing their interest in his welfare. Committees on cities and towns reported favorably upon a bill of Senator Chester A.
