Worley to bring about the arrest of the alleged "fences,” said to have received stolen autos. Charles L. Brown, 19, Negro, and his wife, Louise, Walnut Apts., West and Walnut Sts., were arrested recently on vehicle taking charges. They were released on bond and then left town. The old license plates would be substituted for the stolen car plates. Worley ordered the arrest of three of the alleged "fences.” One of the accused men already arrested is Jack Klein, 33, of 344 N. Anyway, There Was a Real Tramp in It George Davis, 8, of 26 S. Addison St., saw a movie hero shot a tramp who invaded his home. A tramp came to the back door and asked George’s mother, Mrs. Roily Davis, for something to eat the next morning. George put two and two together and got eight. The story he told Mtss Mary H.' MacArdle, principal at School 50, Belle Vieu PI. and Ohio St., was so vivid and he stuck to it so faithfully that she called police. George vowed his father had shot a tramp who said mean things to his mother, loaded the hobo on a wagon and secreted the remains at the city dump. Motor Policemen Hague and Petit had to paint word pictures of electric chairs, prisons, guns and dungeons before George finally admitted he had been to the movies.
