He pointed out an error in a recent story in The Times in connection with refusal of Indiana State Prison board of trustees to grant a parole to Thomas Touhey, one of the bandife who attempted a $20,000 robbery at the Ayres store in 1924. The story said the bandits gained entrance by posing as A. D. T. messengers. Boyles wishes it known that he did not admit the bandits to the store. They entered by breaking open a window.

Ambulances Added to Equipment

The recent addition of two new ambulances to the equipment of Shirley Brothers Cos., Inc., funeral directors and casket manufacturers, Was necessary to take care of increased business of the firm and marks another step of progress for the company. This ambulance is painted a cream tone below the bead line and a blue shade above, making it distinctive in color as well as body lines. It contains a complete first aid and medical equipment cabinet. Two thermos bottles are installed. A cooling stand is also provided. By a special device, fresh air is blown into the ambulance after it is carefullly heated for the benefit of patients occupying the vehicle. Only experienced assistants, carefully trained in ambulance service, drive the cars, Shirley said. The other new ambulance was built by the Sayers & Scoville Company, of Cincinnati, Ohio. The two new ambulances will be used exclusively for ambulance service and will not be used as combination cars, Shirley pointed out. The Shirley Brothers Cos., Inc., is one of the best-known funeral concerns in the city. It occupies the residence at 946 N Illinois St., with branch establishments at 3020 N. Illinois St., 2815 E. Washington St., 5377 E. Washington St., and 2128 W. Michigan St. The firm now operates fifteen cars in its funeral and ambulance service.
