BLACK HAND SEEN IN KiX DEATH New Theory in Murder of Kokomo Youth. ffu Timm Special KOKOMO, Ind., Jan. 12. —Police were working 1 on the theory today that Joseph Bruno, whose bulletriddled body was found in a fluid near Knox, Ind., Dec. 26, had been slain here for violating unwritten laws of the Italian Black Hand Society and his body taken by auto to the northern part of the State. Bruno’s body was identified at Knox last Friday by his father, after it had been unclaimed for days. Knox authorities held he had been slain there by a bootlegger gang. The murder of Bruno, police believe, grew directly out of his confession before the Howard County grand jury, in which he Involved several other Italians. Bruno was indicted on two statutory charges. Near Bruno’s body was found an unused dagger, emblematic of revenge in southern Italy. Placed next to his body, police believe It conveyed the meaning that an act of revenge had been completed. Local Italians refused to talk, however. When questioned by police, they shrug their shoulders and pretend they cannot understand. AERIAL CHARLESTON LONDON, Jan. 12.—Richard Granville and his dancing partner, Babette, recently danced the Charleston 2,000 feet in the air on one of the London-Paris Argosy planes. The plane kept perfect poise during the dance.
