GiLUOM scores DRY ENFORCEMENT Claims Professionally Interested Want Force Used. The policy of those "professionally and selfishly interested” in prohibition enforcement by increased use of force was scored by Attorney General Arthur L. Gllliom in an address Wednesday night before the Alexandria, Ind., Chamber of Commerce. He recommended that temperance be brought about by education showing the deleterious effects of excessive use of alcohol. "The cry of those professionally and selfishly interested in this enforcement policy is for more force,” he declared. "They want force untrammeled by such constituional re-sti-qint on po%ver as the guaranties against unreasonable searches and seizures, force operative under legislative edict through a hobbled judiciary, force supreme and plenary, to be administered by the Army and Navy, by high-speed motorcycle squads of a State constabulary, by an unlimited number of deputy game wardens, by all sherriffs and their deputies, by all policemen and constables, supplemented by such organizations as horse-thief detective associations.” "Everyone a policeman” is their slogan, Gilliom declared and pointed out that back of all this organized force is contemplated political force to be administered by so many of the clergy as can he marshaled in a program of organizing their parishoners for political action in elections. When baby Complains. o Thereby promo.mDi^ * r \\l Chef rfulnui and ftestfonUiW There are many ways a baby has of Mmerai°NoT'narcotic expressing any pain or irregularity or V fi^ouorSMwusnaa digression from itr normal condition of ck* ) health and happiness. A short sharp V ) cry, a prolonged irritated cry. Restless- sjlXi | ness, a constant turning of the head or wi; of the whole body, fretful. In these Conslip*a6onandDiarrh* and other ways a baby tells you there |xf| and L o^ r oFS e ußP is something wrong. Most mothers ii|v rtsuiiinttKw*ftwj^!! ftllty know that a disordered stomach, or ,?t bowels that do not act naturally are the £ cause of most of baby’s sufferings. A |f|| oo newyo^s call for the doctor is the first thought, " but in the event of any delay there "l ’ 1 should be ready at hand a safe remedy such as Fletcher’s Castoria.
Castoria has been used for baby’s ailments for over 30 years and has merited the good will of the family physician in a measure not equaled by any other baby’s medicine because of its harmlessness and the good results achieved. And remember this: Castoria is essentially a baby’s remedy and not a cure-all for every member of tlie family. What might help you is too often dangerous when given to a babe. To avoid imitations always look for the signature of Proven directions on each package. Physicians everywhere recommend it.
