Dec. 29.—The search for a “nasty but nonpoisonous" alcohol formula is still In progress, prohibition officials said today following reports of a heavy holiday death toll from bad liquor. Gasoline and similar distasteful liquids are being used in most denaturing formulas now, instead of the old wood alcohol formulas, but much alcohol denatured under the old semi-poisonous formulas Is still in existence, it was explained. An inventory of all poisonous industrial alcohol is now being taken, and It Is hoped to get the product entirely off the market soon. ENTOMOLOGISTS AT MEETING State Entomologist Frank Wallace and assistant, Harry Dietz, are in Philadelphia today attending the convention of the American Association of Economic Entomologists. Wallace will discuss before the convention the efforts made in Indiana to halt Inroads of the European corn borer.

Bailey requested a decrease In salary for a cataloguing position in the library, the Incumbent will receive tho old salary of $1,320 a year In 1927 as a result of non-approval of the request by the State budget committee.
