CHRISTMAS MAILING SUGGESTIONS GIVEN Cooperation of Public Needed for Handling Without Congestion, Bryson Says.
Compliance with the following suggestions will greatly aid the postoftice and insure the prompt handling of- your mail, it was announced - by Robert C. Bryson, postmaster, today. •‘The postofflees will make every effort to handle the Christmas mails without congestion and delay,” Bryson said, “but owing to the enormous volume this can be done only with the cooperation of the public.” No deliveries will be made after noon on Christmas day. All parcels must be securely wrapped or packed. Use strong paper and heavy twine. Special Tacking Umbrellas, canes, golf sticks, should be reinforced their full length by strong strips of wood tightly wrapped and tied to withstand transportation. Articles easily broken or crushed must'be crated or securely wrapped. Use liberal quantities of excelsior, or like material, in, around, and between the articles and the outside container. Articles likely to spoil within the time reasonably required for transportation and delivery will not be accepted for mailing. Wrap or pack carefully, according to contents, and plainly mark all such parcels “Per-

ishable.” Use special delivery stamps to expedite delivery. Addresses Addresses should be complete, with house number and name of street, postofflee box or rural route number, and typed or plainly written in ink. A return card should be placed in the upper left corner of every fcece of mail. If a tag is used, the address and return card should also be written on the wrapper for use if tag is lost, and a copy of the address should be inclosed inside the parcel. Tostage Postage must be fully prepaid on all mail. Affix the required amount of postage in the upper right corner. Full information concerning postage rates can be obtained at the parcel post or stamp window. Limit of Weight and Size No parcel may be more than 84 inches in length and girth combined. For delivery locally and in the first, second, and third zones, seventy pounds is the maximum weight; in all other zones, fifty pounds. Where to Mail Parcels Uninsured parcels eight ounces or less in weight may be mailed in street letter or package boxes, at all classified stations and branches, and
