McKinley, Illinois, was “practically pulseless” and death is expected momentarily, Dr. It. H. Egbert, attending physician, told the United Press at 9 a. m. today. McKinley is suffering from cancer and has seldom gained consciousness in the last month. He has been at the Homelawn sanitarium. Dr. Egbert said the Senator might live through the day and even longer, due to the remarkable vitality vthich has sustained life so long.

Eight members of a commission of the Methodist Episcopal Church who arrived in Indianapolis this morning will inspect local facilities this afternoon and Wednesday for the 1928 general conference of the Methodist Church. The inspection tour will begin following a luncheon at the Chamber of Commerce. All pastors of local Methodist churches and a layman from each has been invited to attend a dinner for the commission to be held this evening at 4he Claypool. Cities compelling with Indianapolis for the general conference are Kansas City, Atlantic City, Washington, and Cos litmbus. After visits to these cities, the commission will recommend the most suitable city to handle the approximated gathering of 10,000 persons attending the conference.

Hu Times Svccial HUNTINGTON, Ind., Dec. 7. —Belief was expressed by Coroner Nie today' that Mrs. Margaret Laudig, whose body was found in her home late Monday, had been dead for weeks. Neighbors said they had not seen Mrs. Laudig for a month and sup posed she was visiting another son, Harmon Laudig at Indianapolis.
