.J ■■ ** :,;J

By Walter D. Hickman Two great orchestras will make a bid for radio favor tonight on The Indianapolis Times program over WFBM. Geneva Boettcher’s Merry Melody Maids and Glen Stotlar’s orchestra will appear on the program. Never will the air have had such hot competition, as one orchestra is composed entirely of women and the other cf men, with one exception, the violinist. When things get warmed up Friday night call the Severin Hotel and let us know which numbers you like the best**. Both orchestras have good programs. Myles Beville, tenor, who is well known on Times programs, will sing two groups of new numbers. ‘‘Merry Melody Maids” The ‘‘Merry Melody Maids” are Luella Sehllly, drums; Alma Ineisser, Geneva Boettcher, director and pianist, Bonnie Grant and Iris Carroll. The Merry Melody Maids will play the following selections in groups of three: “Hard To Get Gertie,” “Drifting and Dreaming," “Me Too,” “In A Little Garden,” “Turkish Towel,” “Thinking," “My Cutie’s Due At Two To Two,” “Moonlight on the Ganges,” “Breezin’ Along With The Breeze,” "Failin' In Love With You,’’ "San Sue Strut.” I Wonder What's Become of Joe,’’ “Cryin’ For The Moon,” “Ting A Ling,” “I Can't Get Over A Girl Like You" and “Hello Aloha.” Glen Stojlar’s Orchestra will play the following numbers in groups of three: “Me Too,” “Thinking,” “How Many Times,” “Meadow Lark," “Falling In Love With You,” “Moonlight On The Ganges,” “Hard To Get Gertie,” "My Wild Irish Rose,” “Where Did You Get Those Eyes?,” “My Mamma's In Town,” “I Am On My Way Home." “Baby Face,” “For My Sweetheart,” “In A Little Garden” and “Honeybuneh.”
