SHOD CHURCH • READY EASTER Work Progressing on Beech Grove Structure. Completion of the new 540,000 Beech Grove M. E. Church is expected before next Easter, the Rev. D. Jeffery, pastor, said today. The foundation is almost finished and work will go forward during the winter. The new structure, with a capacity of 800 persons when Sunday school rooms are thrown into the auditorium, adjoins the old site at Ninth and Alton Sts. The old church will he worked into the new plan. The basement includes Sunday school room, kitchen and dining room. W. S. Newcomer is building chairman. W. H. Carnes is the architect. MEMORIAL RITES BY ELKS SUNDAY Annual Services Will Be Held in Ciub Auditorium. The annual memorial services of the Indianapolis Klks Lodge No. 13, will be held Sunday evening at 8 o'clock in the Elks' Club auditorium. The principal speakers will bo Hon. Murray Hulbert, New York, justice of the Grand Forum of the Grand lodge; Joseph T. Fanning. New York, managing director of the Elks' Magazine, who will deliver a eulogy on William E. English. Past Grand Exalted Ruler; and Archibald M. Hall, who will deliver a eulogy on Charles A. Book waiter, past Grand Leading Knight. The Montani Harp Ensemble and the Elks quartet will provide music for the services, which are open to the public. Farmers have appropriated a jail in Lavaca County, Tex., since it has been without prisoners? for a long time, and are using it as a cotton storage warehouse.
