Bv Timet Special CRAW FORDS VILLE, Ind.-, Dec. 2.—Nine college presidents will be among the guests of Wabash College here Friday at the installation of Louis Bertram Hopkins as seventh president of the college. College presidents who will attend include Dr. \Ernest Martin Hopkins, president of Dartmouth College and brother of the new Wabash president; Dr. William Lowe Bryan, president of Indiana Unversity; Dr. Edward C. Elliott, president of Purdue; Dr. Robert J. Aley, president of Butler; Dr. William A. Mlllis, president of Hanover; Father Alatthew Walsh, president of the University of Notre Dame; Dr. David .Morton Edwards, president of Earlham; Dr. Alfred Franklin Hughes, president of Evansville College, and Dr. Walter Dih Scott, president of Northwestern University, from which Dr. Hopkins came to Wabash. They made merry and when evening came, John arose to go. He put on his sweater vest and How funny, he remarked,' his sweater and coat looked exactly like Joe’s. The next morning John reached into his vest for his watch. It was missing. Detectives were called. They searched for signs of an intruder in John's bedroom. None could be found. John was puzzled. And sorrowful. His watch had been stolen! Yesterday Joe Kissel had occasion to put on his sweater vest, the first time since Thanksgiving. Something bulged in an upper pocket. Behold, a watch, chain and all, tucked safely away. Joe looked at vest closer It looked a little strange. Just like .his vest, but yet a little different. Then it dawned upon him. John had taken his vest Thanksgiving day. Yes, the joke’s on John. SCIENTISTS AT MUNCIE Annual Meeting of Indiana Academy Opens. B-u United Press MUNCIE, Ind., Dec. 2.—Scientific subjects ranging from the systematic raising of fleas to geological survey of Greenland will be discussed at the forty-second annual meeting of the Indiana Academy of Science starting fcere today and continuing through Paturday. Sectional meetings devoted to physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, zoology and geology will he held during the convention by leading men of science in the State. They no longer can go to “St. Louis.” The Wittmer was distinctive in its room numbering system. They were named after cities. Traveling men from Cincinnati and Louisville felt at home by asking for the “Cincinnati’’ or "Louisville” room, St. Louis, New Orleans, Memphis and other cities that smacked of the old river days were also honored with room names. HOLMES WINS SKIRMISH Records in McKrlane Case to Be Corrected. Holmes appeared yesterday to protest the appointment of James MeNeff and W. J. McAleen as special prosecutors.
