EIGHT MILES OF PAVING OPENED NEAR FRANKLIN | S Heavy Grading in Progress on Several Stone and Gravel Highways. Additional pavement was opened this week south of Fra r kiln, eliminating: the bad detour anc dangerous grade crossing at Amity and providing eight miles of new surface. The commission’s traffic bulletin issued today by John D. Williams, director, pointed out that heavy grading was in progress on several stone and gravel roads and asked traffic to exercise care driving past workmen. The bulletin further announced removal of a bridge runaround on Rd. 20 at two miles north of Rd. 36; run-around between Nashville and Columbus and detour between New Point and Batesville on Rd. 46; bridge run-around on Rd. 27 at four miles north of Liberty, runaround on Rd. 39 near Mechanicsburg, and called attention to a temporary bridge in force at two miles east of Richmond on Rd. 40, and completion of grading at six ..miles south of Portland on No. 27.
