Citizens of the east section of the city became alarmed Friday night when a man who has been annoying women and girls, made his second visit to that section and attempted to attack two girls, Rosella Burnside, 9, of 336 N. Denny St., and Mary Mclntyre, 8, of 338 N. Denny St., playing in front of their homes. The assailant was put to flight, however, when the Burnsidfe girl used her fists and pummelled him. Police could find no trace of the man.

SIOO,OOO FIRE AT COLUMBUS, It Incendiary Origin Seen in Harvester Plant Blaze. Bu United Press COLUMBUS, Ind., Nov. 1.1. —Fire early today destroyed the plant of the Cotton Harvester Manufacturing Company, adjacent unoccupied factory buildings and two nearby residences. The loss was estimated at SIOO,OOO. The fire was believed to have been of incendiary origin and was being investigated by Columbus police. The buildings burned were formerly owned by the Reeves' Manufacturing company, makers of throshitig outfits, and later by the Emerson Brantlnghan Company, of Rockford, ill.
