HD BOOMS DUG UP AFTER G.O.P. HATCHETBURIAL Jewett for Governor, Lemaux for Mayor, Say Politicians. Cooperation of the Jewett-Lemeke faction of the Republican party with the Coffin machine to elect senatorial and county tickets is to bear its fruit soon in two booms for office, the politicians said today. The two factions fought nearly to the point of physical violence at the county convention in 1925 when George V. Coffin captured the G. O. P. organization. Jewett’s Reward Former Mayor Charles W. Jewett is said to be on the way to reward through indorsement of certain lead-ex-s for the Republican gubernatorial nomination. Irving Lemaux, who was received back into the fold during the campaign, the insiders whisper, is to be groomed for the next mayor of Indianapolis. Aided Watson Jewett, never previously renowned for affiliation with Senator James E. Watson, was sent as a pinch hitter during the senatorial primary campaign to outline Watson’s record in an address at Irvington. In this action he broke with Claris Adams, who had been one of his most valued supporters during the mayoralty campaigns. In the recent campaign, Jewett assumed charge of the Marion County G. O. P. speakers’ bureau. Lemaux worked for the Coffin candidates during the recent campaign and was prominent in newspaper statements and through other channels.

IPROPOSED TRAFFIC RULE IS OPPOSED Councilman Would Retain Some Angle Parking. Terming the proposed flat-to-curb parking in all parts of town too drastic. Councilman Robert E. Springsteen, Democrat, announced today he would seek to retain angle parking in districts near the downtown region. Springsteen said he feared there would be* confusion at night because of the nat-to-curb ruling. Persons attending theaters, he said, probably would suffer hardships because the motor inns would be crowded and the flat-to-curb rule would eliminate many parking spaces. Springsteen said he is considering offering an amendment to the ordinance, making exceptions of Washington St. east of Delaware St. and west of Capitol Ave., Michigan and Ohio Sts. and a number of other I thoroughfares where he said parallel parking would work hardship. ANOTHER GIRL SHOT Second Outrage Follows Murder of Wednesday Night. Bu United 'Press CHICAGO, Nov. 12—Police today were confronted with the second mysterious shooting of a young girl, during the past thirty-six houre. Esther Haas, 15, was wounded seriously in the left side ao she walked along a suburban road not far from her home, with her two sisters. The two girls could give no Information regarding the shooting. Marion, one of the sisters, said that the first Intimation of any trouble came when Esther screamed and sank to the ground. The shooting of Miss Haas followed closely on the heels of the unsolved murder of Victoria Delamata, 15, who was shot and killed Wednesday night, near her home.

Existence of several heretofore undiscovered oil, coal and stone deposits in Indiana la disclosed today in a report by State Geologist W. N. Logan, based on recent surveys conducted under his direction in various parts of the State. In a report to Conservation Director FUchard IJeber. Dr. Logan ■says his office has just completed a survey of a section in Vanderburgh County revealing the geological elements necessary to produce oil. A similar area in Pike County was mapped and a location for drilling a well. Areas In Daviess and Adams counties also were surveyed.
