THREE PERSONS MISSING Police Asked to Search for Two Men and a Boy. Police have been asked to search for three missing persons. Bradley Bailey, 23, 436 E. Michigan St., wrote a letter to his wife and told her he was leaving town to take up a lob on a farm husking corn. He did not state where. When last seen he was dressed in a blue sweater, gray hat, blue serge suit and light gaberdine coat, and wore shell-rimmed glasses. Mack Hinkle, St. Louis, Mo., who has been living recently with his mother here at 601 S. Pine St., is missing. Raymond Cole, 7, of 319 Lansing St., failed to arrive home when dusk settled Thursday night. Police were under the impression he was at some neighbor boy’s home. RED CROSS WILL ELECT Indianapolis Chapter to Name Officers Next Week. Directors of the Indianapolis chapter of the American Red Cross will meet next week to elect chapter officers. William Fortune is present chairman of the chapter. At the annual meeting Thursday, Felix M. McWhirter and William H. Book were elected directors to fill vacancies on the board. Other directors re-elected were: Fortune, E. H. K. McComb, Charles F. Coffin, Wallace O. Lee, Brig. Gen. Dwight E. Aultman, Mrs. Gavin L. Payne, Charles B. Sommers, Mrs. H. T. Wagner, Edward A. Kahn, A. M. Rosenthal and James A. Stuart. PENNSY CLUB TO MEET Traffic Organization President Will Give Address. The Pennsylvania Railroad Club of Indianapolis will meet at the Union Station, Monday evening. Frank C. Baldridge, president of the Indianapolis Traffic Club, will speak and a social hour and smoker will follow. The club is composed of supervisors, gang foremen, yard masters and other officers of supervisory capacity of the Pennsylvania Railroad at Indianapolis and outlying points. Dr. Foss Schenck, medical examiner for the road here, is president of the club. RETIRED FARMER DIES diaries E. Johnson, 77, Life-Long Resident k>f County. Charles E. Johnson, 77, of 2460 Roosevelt Ave.. a retired farmer, died today at his home. Born on E. Tenth St., Mr. Johnson spent his entire life in Marion County. His father, Samuel Johnson, settled here in 1821. The widow and six children survive. He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge. Funeral arrangements have not been made. MAN’S BODY IDENTIFIED That of Howard Finner, Mars Hill— Death Due to Poison. Police have identified the body of a man found Tuesday night on the Crawfordsville Rd., as Howard Finner, about 50, of Mars Hill. Coroner Paul F. Robinson, who held a post mortem of the body, said death was due to poison. According to Deputy Sheriff Bell and city hospital officials, Finner had been a patient following overdoses of drugs. BURGLAR ~IS CONVICT Daylight Robber to Be Taken Back To Alabama Prison. Indianapolis’ daylight burglar is a convict. A. L. Ware, alias John P. McGowan, will be taken back to the Alabama State prison, Montgomery, Ala., at once to complete a fifteenyear term for robbery, having been identified today as an escaped prisoner. The identification was made through Bertillon records. Ware was arrested Sept. 23, by Detectives Roache and Fossetti after several north side homes had been looted by a man who gained entrance by posing as an electric light inspector.
