Pointing to the loss within the iast year of fwo expert engineers and three accountants, Howell Ellis, secretary of the public service commission, has requested the State budget department for more liberal salary allowances for the utility body during the coming two-year j/e----lod. While no increase in the appropriations f(#r these two years Is asked, Ellis recommended larger allowances for personal service as an inducement to the experts to remain. i For the coming year Ellis requested $145,000 for personal service tnd the year following $150,000. Toal appropriation sought for eaclp year Is $170,000. An increase of approximately $20,000 a year for the coming biennial period has been tought by State Insurance Commissioner Clarence C. Wysong. He asked $85,046 for each of the years. SCOUT COUNCIL ELECTS John A. Hook Again President of Local Organization. John A. Hook, president of the Hook Drug Company, was re-elected president of the Indianapolis Council of Boy Scouts of America Wednesdaf night at a meeting at the Scout reservation, northeast of the city. Other officers elected were Thomas C. Howe, Walter C. Marmon, E. W. Harris, Edward A. Kalw- and Norman A Perry, vice presidents; Fred L. Hollweg, treasurer, and Louis H. Haerie, secretary. Troop 76 closed the program with a Scout demonstration. Capt. W. D. Wilson gave several old-timo fiddle numbers.
