IS PLACE OF HORROR /111 United Press PARIS, Nov. 3. —The little villa at Gambais, where ‘'Bluebeard" Landru murdered and burned at least five of the eleven wives for whose deaths he went to the guillotine in Versailles, is falling into ruin. Nobody wants to live in the place of gruesome memories and the proprietor refuses to go to the expense of demolishing it. Tourists traveling in the neighborhood sometimes desire to look over the place, but they are not per mitted to enter. Automobllists turn their eyes for a few seconds from the road aheatf to look at the grim dwelling.

The State Normal eleven is busy preparing for the home-coming game with Eastern Kentucky State Normal which will be played at Parsons field Saturday. As an additional feature of the home-coming program, the strong Normal freshmen eleven will clash with the Vincennes University team in a preliminary to the varsity struggle. Although victory was not anticipated against Purdue, Coach Strum was not at all satisfied with the manner in which his squad performed against the Purdue reserves. Stanbaugh, half back, was forced from the Purdue game in the first quarter with a bad knee, and with Dorsett and Gray, other back field men, already on the hospital list, this- dealt a severe blow to the Sycamores. However, it is more than probable that Dorsett and Gray will be back for Saturdaj’’s game, while there is a possibility of Stanbaugh’s return. The Pennsylvania Railroad will operate a de luxe special train from Indianapolis to South Bend and return, Saturday, account IndianaNofre Dame game. The special will leave Indianapolis at 7:15 a. m.. Returning, the train will leave South Bend at 7:15 p. m. The University of Indiana band and about two hundred students will be on this special. They will leave Bloomington at 5 a. m., arriving her? 6:45 and, after breakfast, will leave with the Indianapolis delegation of rooters. It is anticipated there will be about 350 to 400 people on the special from Indianapolis. scouTcouncil session Members of the Indianapolis local council, Boy Scouts of America, with their families and guests interested in the Boy Scout movement, will hold a banquet and an election of officers at a “Harvest Meeting," Wednesday evening. The boys have promised themselves and friends a big old-fashioned country fried chicken supper with all the "flxin’s.” The dinner will be held in the mess hall at the Scout reservation, followed by the annual business meeting. A scouting demonstration by Troop 76 of the State School for the Deaf, and music by Ed Apple of Lawrence, an old-time fiddler, will make up the entertainment program.
