BURGLAR FLEES EinOM Nothing Stolen —Two Other Homes Looted. A burglar was discovered in the bedroom of the home of J. W. McElroy. Apt. 511, the Blacherne, Vermont and Meridian Sts., Sunday night, but escaped. McElroy told police' he went into the bedroom to get some papers, and heard a noise. He switched on the light and saw the legs and feet of a man disappearing out a window leading to a stairway. Nothing was missed. Charles Royse, R. R. 6, Franklin, Ind., said a pumpgun, shotgun, scissors, fountain pen and $2 were stolen

The boy told police he had just made his delivery and had started through an alley in the 200 block on W. Thirty-First St., when he w.-ts seized by two youths, who tied a knapsack over his head and bound him hand and foot. He was latter found by John Summers, 705 N. Illinois St., who heard the boy moaning while walking through the alley. FIVE LIQUOR ARRESTS Following the trail of a still found several days ago at 909 W. TwentyFirst St., Sergt. Edward Deeter and Patrolman Allison, arrested Wash Carter, 42, Negro, 2402 Bond St., for unlawful possession of a still. Carter implicated Gus Francis, 45, Negro, 2339 Fairview Ave..
