STIRRING G, 0. P.. MEETING TO BE • HELD ON MONDAY Synchronizing exactly with the time of meeting of Senator James A. Reed's committee in Chicago, the Republican State central committee Will meet at 10 a. m. Monday at the Severin in what promises to be one of the most stirring sessions for many months. State Chariman Clyde A. Walb, whose recent assertion that "international bankers” are pouring money into Indiana to defeat the G. O. P. senatorial ticket, probably wilf be the center of attack, insiders say. Enemies of Walb, who also wish to be Governor in 1928, are open in criticism of what they say was statement that gave Reed a chanc< to come*in.” Status of Thurman Political observers point out that .Bert Thurman, collector of internal revenue, demanded an investigation of the charges of the Republican editors and that Thurman is considered as Watson’s choice for Governor. Walb is deemed more to the taste of Senator Arthur R. Robinson and the Coffin political machine. A delegation of Republicans from Muncie was in Indianapolis Thursday to confer with local leaders in in attempt to scare Walb publicly his action. J. Frank McDermond, Jr., of Attica, president of the Republican State Ecfitorial Association, Thursday added sorrow to the Walb machine men when he rebuked Walb for inviting G. O. P. editors to the committee meeting. He said he would not attend. Feudner Reticent Will O. Feudner, member of the probe committee, was equally reticent to fraternize with what many association members now term “the enemy,” referring To the party organization. “Any member of the editorial association inter-relations committee who meets with the State committee Morfday, does so on his own hook,” Feudner said. “I certainly will not attend the meeting.” It will be recalled that a determined effort to denounce Adams by pro-Watson editors resulted in n, meeting some time ago of only five G. O. P. editors. FOUR PERSONS MISSING Police Ashed (o Locate Girl, Woman and Two Men. Police today were asked to hunt for four missing persons.
