Germany Takes Her Seat in Council of the League
The greatest diplomatic minds of Europe came together in this, the first meeting of the council of the League of Nations in which Gernianj took a part. Foreign Minister Stresemann, primarily responsible for his country's entrance into the league, is fifth from the left in *he first row. Aristide Briand of France, is seventh. Today interest here centers chiefly around the coming campaign. With a third of the Senate and the whole of the House to be chosen again Nov. 2, leaders of both parties are getting busy. A steady mardi of Democratic leaders goes through the officer os Chairman Oldfield and Gerry of the congressional and senatorial committees at the Capitol. Troubles Told Coolidge Republican leaders come first to the White House to tell Mr.' Coolidge their troubles, issue a few
statements and return to their homes if they themselves are involved in the races. Republican campaign headquarters is in a downtown office building and at least one statement a day is ,being issued. The methods of both sides are about the same. The Republican

RUBBER GALLUSES FULTON, Mo.—Jack Muir, a prominent farmer and stock raiser, has solved the suspender problem. The other day he appeared on tha streets of Fulton wearing made from an old motor car inner tube. The suspenders were neatly cut and trimmed by Muir’s daughter.
