Wp Appointments Announced I Several appointments, including I members of night school staffs, ' which open Oct. 5, were, announced by superintendent E. U. Graff. These schools will be held in elementary and the three high school buildings. About 2,400 pupils attended the schools last year. Discussion arose over the salary of Carl Major, who succeeded Michael Madden, resigned, as assistant treasurer of schools. Two majority members of the board asked for a higher salary for Major immediately. This was reduced, i with advancement to be made Jan. 1.
FARM GROUP TO MEET Bureau Federation Will Discuss Program for Expansion. Program for expansion of the Indiana Farm Bureau Fedeiation will be discussed at the annual State meeting to be held in Indianapolis Nov. 22 and 23. Future policies of the organization also will be discussed.

After a two-weJk stay In the Indiana State reformatory, Sylvester Ellenwood, of Wells County, serving a. one to fourteen-year sentence for grand larceny, has been granted a two-day parole by Governor Jackson to attend the funeral of his father in Ft. Wayne. Ellenwood was sentenced In the Wells Circuit Court on Sept. 13.
