DRINKING OF CO-EDS HIT IN MAGAZINE on Trip to Football Game Described by College Graduate. Bu United Press CHICAG6, Sept. 14.—American college ce-eds have been indicted as “gin drinking, licentious animals" .in the current issue of “The Witness,” magazine, semi-officiadly sponsored by the Episcopal Church of America, just issued. The charge against the co-eds was written by W. O. Cross, who graduated from the University of Illinois in June. „ “The invasion by women of the university has made drinking a part of dating, which also includes dancing and petting,” he charges. “Women now participate ing bouts to an extent, which to .the uninitiated is astounding.” * Cross then described an orgy he said he witnessed on a sleeping coach en route to a football game last fall. “Collegians of both sexes, ■most of ■whom were quite drunk, l,staged a pajama dance in the aisles ’between sleeper berths. "The inebriate woman is a bundle of animality,” he continued. “Mixed drinking begins with a little party after the dance—the petting session “i—after inhibitions have been lulled and passions stirred by sensual music." “Drinking in 1 , student days has ibeen a tradition,” Cross’ article asserts, “but since the participation of kthe college women it has became bacchanalian,” he concludes. TO MEET AT CLAYPOOL , Agents Association to Open Season. The Purchasing Agents’ Association of Indianapolis will celebrate the Open of the 1,926-27 season with a dingier in the Biley room of the Clay'pcol, this evening. Dr. Robert E. Vinson, Cleveland, Ohio, president of Western Reserve 'University, will make the principal talk. Others on* the program are Prof. Leslie Edie, Indiana University, and Dick Miller, Indian apolis. ' Col. Carleton B. McCullough, M. IX, will be toastmaster. The meeting will be in the nature of a “Boost Indianapolis” gathering. Several hundred persons are expected to attend. A program by WFBM W|ll be broadcast. i
