Bit Times Special J&ERLIN, Sept. 10.—Europe’s salvation can be achieved only through a ’ cjose alliance between the Germfepic nations, declares Baron Wilhdm von Richtofen In his recent bc*>k entitled ‘'Brit<\Germanic.” JRlchtofen’s scheme Is diametricalopposed to the Pan-Europe idea of* Baron Coudenhove-Calergi, an Austrian nobleman. As the tirst step toward the conclusion of a Germanic alliance, Richtofen envisages an albetween Great Britain and Germany. This combination, to his thinking, should not be difficult. He prints out that England to an ever increasing extent becomes dependent upon Germany’s assistance in pcritical as as in economic questions. Thus the status of the two nations, he concludes, will gradually become one of equality. The author believes that an Anglo\ German alliance Would in due course
