MARINES LANDED IN NICARAGUA Will Protect Americans — Battle Looms. Bit lJnitril Pre.t * WASHINGTON, Aug. 3ft —Revo"lutionary troops are expected to attack Blue-fields, Nicaragua today, according to State Department advices. United States Marines have land ed there to protect American lives and property. The department has ordered American Charge D'Affalres Dennis to deliver a sharp communication to General Chamorro, whose military governmenet ol Nicaragua it does not recognize. In order tn avoid interference between Chamorro and the revolutionists it is believed the American force of occupation mRy follow the precedent of last May and declare Blueflelde a neutral zone. Any interference by the League of Nations, following Chamorro's protest to It against alleged Mexican government support of the Nicaraguan revolutionists, would be resented by the United States as violation of the Mohroe doctrine. Officials would not comment on this delicate aspect of the situation. Nomad House Waits for Its Foundation The famous house of Robert Hackney is a bit sad today. Arrived in front of its new location at 2318 N. Capitol Ave., after a torturous journey through city streets, It must wait while workmen lay the last cement blocks of its new foundation. The house Is as weary as a l’ull* man car patron, who. after Pushing his way through car aisles, arrives at his berth, only to find he must linger on his feet while the porter makes up his bed. , The Hackney house has blocked city streets for more than two weeks. Today a narrow' space on the east side of the house remains for traffic in Capitol Ave. The Haugh Hotel is nearly ready for the last and most crucial stage of its sensational journey to anew location near Delaware and Michigan Sts. Movers are preparing to turn the structure to place it on the new foundation. THE’BERLINS ARE HOME Separate on Arrival at New York— Guarded by Police.
