WOOLLEN URGES EQUAL CHANCE Says Good Government Excludes Privileges. Rv Times S Dedal LINTON, Ind., Aug. 25.—That government is best which most fully assures equality of opportunity and excludes privilege, declared Evans Woollen, Democratic candidate for United States Senator, here Tuesday night. Criticising legislation generally he continued.: “The best illustration bf departure from that principle is the FordneyMcCumber act. That act was the expression of the spirit of sordid selfishness. The average of tariff dutieS was raised 59 per cent. The purpose of so raising duties was of course to raise prices. That is always the purpose of a protective tariff act —to raise prices. * “A tariff act says that certain commodities —the present act names 4 000 groups of commodities —may not be imported unless duties thereon are paid. That means that the domestic producers of those commodities can increase the prices thereof by amounts equal to the duties thereon without being in danger of foreign competition." WANT BELL TELEPHONES Lawrence Residents Send Petition to Commission. Dissatisfied with service and equipment of the Lawrence Telephone Company, twenty-five residents of Lawrence Township have asked the public service commission to permit the Indiana Bell Telephone Company to serve in that territory. The petitioners’ charge that they are forced to pay double rates for service when the Bell is used was denied by Martin McDartiel, manager of the Lawrence company. Revenues are not sufficient to keep equipment in the best condition, he said. THIS VAULT REAL ONE New Strong Box in New York State’s Building Can Be Flooded. By United Press ALBANY, N. Health Ruined By Constipation Tells How He Got Quick Relief. No Sign of Trouble Now. Every sufferer from stomach and liver trouble will welcome the good news in a letter written by Paul D. Bragdon, 1523 Cedar St., Anderson, Ind. He tells how he regained his health, appetite and weight, as follows: “For five years I suffered with liver trouble and constipation. My bowels were so sluggish they would harly act more than once a week. My complexion was yellow and I was all run down. My appetite was poor and I had a disgust for food most of the time. I went down to 136 pounds and my vitality was so low I just had no pep at all. I felt lazy and wanted to sleep all the time. I tried different medicines and nothing did me any good. Then a relative recommended Viuna. Before I had taken half a bottle I felt better, and by the time I had, taken the second bottle I had gained four pounds and could eat anything, had a good, healthy appetite and was feeling fine. All that drowsiness was gone and 1 would get up In the morning full of pep. It has been three months since I bought my first bottle of Viuna, and I believe I can truthfully say that I am entirely well. I have gained twenty pounds, and never relt better In my life.” viuna acta promptly on slngglat bowels, lazy liver and weak k'dneya. It purifies the blood, clears the skin, restores appetite and digestion, and bring* new strength and energy to the whole body. Take a bottle on trial.
