Civic leaders, meeting at the Indianapolis Athletic Club Friday, voted to establish here a branch of the National Plant, Flower and Fruit Guild, which has as its purpose distiibution of (lowers, plants or fruits among shut-ins, sick and aged per sons. A downtown center, where those having surplus flowers may bring them to he distributed, will be se lected and opened Sept. 3. Christ Church is favored. The first gift from the new branch was flowers sent to the Old Ladies' Home and the Flower Mission. TEN EMPLOYERS HELD Violation of Compensation Act Is Charged; Before Justice. John Symeananszkl of St. Stanislaus Church at midnight, asking; him to go to the home of John Groth to administer the last rites of the church to a dying man. Arriving at the Groth home, the priest found that death had preceded him and that the dead man was his own father, Andrew Symeananszkl, 67, who had suffered a heart attack while visiting the Groth family. MORE CATTLE EXHIBITS State Fair Entries Break All Records, Says Official. All records for cattle exhibits at the State fair were broken this year when 202 exhibitors, displaying approximately 2,000 head of cattle, filed their entries with the Indiana board of agriculture, it was announced today by E. J. Barker, sec-retary-treasurer. Ijast year there were 1-ill exhibitors, showing 1,720 head of cattle.
