STATE TO ISSUE > SOUVENIR BOOK 35,000 Copies Ready for Next Week. Indiana's first official attempt to produce a souvenir booklet will reach culmination next week when 35,000 copies will be ready for distribution by the State printing board. The booklet, according to J. Otto Lee, of the State printing board, was primarily intended for distribution at the Sesquicentennlal Exposition at Philadelphia, on Aug. 26, Indiana Day. Fifteen thousand copies will be given out there and the balance will be distributed in Indiana to those who make requests for them. Public libraries will receive a supply of the books which are of such a nature that they are suitable for use as reference on State topics. L. S. Bowman, auditor of State; Charles Kettleborough, of the legislative reference bureau; C. B. Coleman, director of the historical commission; Ed Warfel, of the State chamber of commerce, and J. Otto I,ee of the State printing board are editors of the booklet which is considered by many to be quite an achievement. fc STATE BATTLES BORER Preliminary steps to place a quarantine on northeastern Indiana counties, which are infected with the European com borer were taken today by Frank X. Wallace, State entomologist, who has just returned from an Inspection of cornfields in the suspected territory. Wallace said the present danger was not great.
