City Controller William C. Buser today received the board of health's proposed budget for 1927, which calls for a levy of 12 cents, 3 cents higher than In 1926. Maintenance of the city hospital’s new surgical unit raised 'costs of of the citys administration to $652,000, the budfeteers pointed out. The total amount that would bw raifeed by the levy is $788,000. Additions to the power plant and maintenance of the city dispensary and nurses’ training school also added to the cost. The board will ask for the maximum levy of 1% cents for the school health fund, but will request only *4 cent for the school tuberculosis prevention fund instead of the full levy of 1 cent.
