W FERGUSON FACING DEFEAT AT TEXAS POLLS Three Candidates for Governor May Force ‘Run Off’ a Month Later. Bu Times Special HOUSTON, Texas, July 23.—Texas decides tomorrow whether It will repudiate Its first woman Governor by refusing her a second term. 'lndications are that she will be defeated for renomination, either in the Democratic primary tomorrow or a month later in the run off. The three candidates are Governor Miriam (Ma) Ferguson, the first woman Governor; Dan Moody, 33, attorney general, and Lynch Davidson, wealthy Houston lumberman. -Run Off Later Because there are three candidates In order to be nominated tomorrow one must get a majority of votes. In case there. Is only a plurality there will be a run off primary late In August between the two highest candidates. Nomination on the Democratic ticket Is equivalent to election. Moody is favored to win, having the support of practically every large Texas newspaper. He is expected to lead tomorrow and many believe he will get the necessary majority for nomination., Home believe that Mrs. Ferguson will run third. BOYS IMPLICATE ANOTHER Charles Myers, 343% Liberty St.. was arrested to day on a vagrancy charge, following alleged confessions of two 12-year-oid boys held at the juvenile detention home.
