Mithofer ana about seventy-five protesting property owners against the city of Indianapolis and the contractor who built the original Ploa<ant Run sewer and the Bean Creek main in terceptor sewer, received a setback when Judge T. J. Moll of Superior Court Five overruled demurrers of the plaintiffs. Mithofer and other property owners have tried to obtain a court ruling that assessments against thenproperties were void inasmuch as they would not benefit by the sewer. From a panel of fifty, selection of the jury for the second trial of Walter Snepp, Shelbyvllle, on charges of liquor law violations and habitual criminality, will be made today. If Snepp is convicted of the liquor law violation he can be sentenced to life imprisonment as a habitual criminal by Special Judge John W. Holtzman. It is alleged that Snepp twice has been convicted of felonies, once in Arizona and once in Shelbyville, and under the present law. after three such convictions a Jury can recommend that the offender be sentenced to life. In a previous trial here on May 6 the Jury disagreed. The case was venued from Shelby County. SIX FUGITIVES SOUPHT Negro Accosts Two Women as They Pass Alley. Police today sought the Negro, who accosted Miss Sarah Alex. 17 W. Merrill St. and Miss Sarah Fogle, 1117 S. Meridian St., In the 900 block on St, Meridian St., late Saturday. Miss Alex said the Negro seized her as she passed an alley but fled with a purse containing a small amount of money when she screamed. Police also sought the five men who attacked Felix Babb, 27 E. Palmer St. and hi" brother-in-law, Harry Hollingshead of Blckneil, Ind., after taking them for an auto ride, late Saturday. Men took & $55 watch from Babbs and a $25 watch from Hollingshead. MISSIONARY IN CITY -' Has Served in China Nearly Twenty 'Years; Visits Brother. The Rev. H. Edwin V. Andrews, a missionary in China for almost twenty years: Mrs. Andrews and fcur of their five children are visiting Rev. Andrews' brother, Oscar F. Andrews, Northwestern Ave., this week. Next week they will go to Phlladelphia, where Rev. Andrews will serve as secretary in the home office of the China Inland Mission. The oldest son, age 16, remained in China to finish his last year of high school work.

This service has grown considerably in the past few years, he said. WET WASH PLAN GAINING FRIENDS Pilgrim Laundry Caters to Busy Housewife. v The wet wash laundry service of the Pilgrim Laundry, 1412 Cornell Ave., has increased in volume so much in recent weeks that prices have been reduced, according to H. G. Caldwell, a partner in the com pany. The fine quality of service given housewives in wet wash laundry, he pointed out, has been the biggest asset of the company. All flat pieces of laundry are ironed and special attention is given to rinsing and wringing, he explained, so that when the laundry reaches the home it is practically dry. , "We have found ourselves able to reduce prices on wet wash laundry because of the tremendous increase in volume of business handled," Caldwell said. Caldwell said that his company insisted Hpofi careful checking of all laundry received. Each batch of laundry is listed and then sorted into six various types of materials, each type being placed in a net bag and all bags pinned together with numbers. Following washing in modern machines the laundry is rinsed and partially dried by special wringing machinery. Radio users are demanding greater simplicity in radio sets, according to reports of distributors. The old style, cumbersome radio receiving sets are passing and rapidly are being supplemented by less complex instruments.
