Neighbor Shoot* at Fleeing Prowler , —Police Search. Police today were searching for the /burglar who escaped from the home of Leonard Smith, 787 S. Noble St., late Monday after being discovered by Mrs. Frances Smith, his wist. Mrs. Smith said she was aroused from sleep by a noise and found the prowler walking toward her bed. When she screamed the man fled th6 back yard. Gerald Cook, 746 S. Noble St., upon hearing Mrs. Smith's cry, chased the prowler and fired one shat at him. PRISONER UNCONSCIOUS Mart, Hurt in C*o, Believed In Critical Condition. Henry Hurt, 60, of the Craig hotel, 328 E. Washington St., was taken to the city hospital early today after he was found unconscious in the city prison. Hurt was arrested at the hotel Monday on an intoxication charge by Motorpolioemen Albers and l’ow. ere. It is believed he fell and struck his head In the cell.
