STRAWBERRIES' SCARCyiGHER Florida Oranges 40 to 60 Cents a Dozen. Strawberries were scarce today on the stands of the city market and the price was slightly higher at 30 to 35 cents a quart. The last of the Florida oranges werj priced at 40 to 60 cents a dozen. Apricots were higher at 25 cents a pound, but fcjuma were cheaper at 10 to 15 cents a pound. Fresh lima beans reappeared on the stands at 80 cents a pound, while French limas sold at 50 cents a pound. Other prices included: Bananas, 20 to 25 cents a dozen: limes, 50 cents a dozen; lemons, 20 to 40 cents a dozen; watermelons, 80 cents to $1.25 each; cantaloupes, 10 to 20 cents each; com, three ears for 25 cents; sugar pears, 20 cents a pound; green beans, 10 to 15 cents a poundt peas, 10 to 20 cents a pound, and Michigan celery, 15 cents a stalk. In a few weeks the home grown variety of celery will replace the Michigan brand on the stands. Home grown cherries were unchanged at 15 to 20 cents a quart; black raspberries, 20 to 25 cents a pint; currants, 30 cents a quart; gooseberries, 15 to 20 cents a quart; California cherries, 40 to 50 cents a pound; beets, 5 to 10 cents a bunch, accord ing to size and carrots, 5 to 10 cents a bunch, according to size. 2 OIL STATIONS ROBBED Pay Phone Looted, Coat Taken and Attempt Made to Open Safe. A burglar, failing to open the safes at two north side filling stations Wednesday night, robbed a pay telephone and tock a coat belonging to an attendant. Julius Keller, Twenty-Ninth St. and Capitol Ave., filling station attendant, found a window had been pried open, the hinges and bolts removed from the safe door and a black sweater Instead of his coat whe nhe opened the station this j -morning. VETERANS TO GATHER Hooster Members of Rainbow Division to Meet July 10. Preparations for the largest gathering of Indiana members of the historic Rainbow Division since the World War are being laid by the Marlon County chapter of the Rainbow Veterans’ Association, which will be host to#the Hoosier contingent July 10. Sidney S. Miller, chairman of the convention committee, has announced that the entire Severin Hotel will be turned over to the hundreds ,who will be in Indianapolis that day. One man died from escaping gas and four others were overcome at the Sesqulcentennial grounds today, when workmen digging a ditch opened a gas main. Gene McDonlgle, 43, Chester, Pa., a plumber, was dead when firemen reached the scene.
