STOMACH PAHS SO SEVERE HE DOUBLED OVER Indianapolis Citizen Relieved of Long Suffering by the New Konjola. "I wish everyone could know what a blessing this wonderful new Konjola medicine has been to my health, for I had suffered so much torture before I got this compound, but today I’m actually feeling better than I have for several years, and it

would be a pleasure for me to repeat my statement to any one who has any doubt about the wonderful effect which this Konjola has on the system.” This Is the gratifying statement made only a few days ago by Mr. Louis Nick, well-known Indianapolis citizen, living at 223 North Liberty Street, this city, during a conversation with The Konjola Man who is at Hook's drug store, Pennsylvania and Market Streets, Indianapolis, where crowds continue to call day after day to find out for themselves about this surprising new medical preparation. "My wife was the first in our family to try Konjola," said Mr. Nick, "and it benefited her just as much as it did me. “All of my,trouble same from a disordered stomach. Sometimes the cramping pains would be so severe that I just had to double over. I | actually felt like I was going to " die at times. For five months I suffered continually from indigestion, gas pressure around my heart and chest which was due to the congestion of food that would lay in my stomach in a solid hard lump. Sometimes I wouldn’t close my eyes ail night long—just laid in bed and suffered from misery in my stomach, burning, smothering spells in my chest and throat, s<s" bad at times that I had to gasp for breath. My appetite was poor, couldn’t rest, or even keep food on my stomach after some meals. "This awful stomach trouble finally got my nerves so shattered and on edge that I sometimes thought I’d lote my mind. It’s a positive fact that for five long months I took one treatment after another, having been told that my case was so bad it would take months to help me, but when I began on Konjola I dropped everything else, and I felt better within a few dayi.. I’ve taken several bottles of your medicine, and now my wife says it's a pleasure to see me eat. My appetite is fine, and while I’m eating a great deal more, I can say that the food taken into my system is digesting and doing me some good. The gas, heart palpitation, burning and smothering spells all are ended. I don’t have to gasp for breath since my digestion is good, and I can sleep without waking a single time all night long. My nerves are strengthened, and my whole system has underI went a great change so that I feel goood all through the day. This great relief I owe entirely to Konjola, and I take pleasure in recommending such a fine medicine as this to the public.” The Konjola Man is at Hook’s drug store Pennsylvania and Market Streets, Indianapolis, where he is daily meeting the public and introducing and explaining the merits of this remedy. Free samples given. Konjola is also for sale at every Hook drug store in this city and by druggists in all surrounding town*.—Advertisement.

DECLARATION Congress Receives Stirring Document From Committee. Editor's Note—This is ths fifth article of the aeries written from congressional records depicting: what led up to signing of the Declaration of ndependence. 160 vears ago July 4. Note that thj “dispatches” are dated as of 1770. They are the writer's conception of how a modern reporter would have handled the big stories breaking Id those stirring times By Ruth Finney, Times Staff Corresunndent PHILADELPHIA, June 29, 1776. These United Colonies are free and independent states and are absolved from all allegiance to the British crown! The committee appointed some weeks ago to draft a declaration of independence made this proclamation in a stirring document submitted to the Continental Congress for its approval or rejection. The declaration was read in Congres and ordered to lie on the table, and Congress then adjourned until Monday, when action will probably be taken. After a preamble explaining the purpose of the declaration and asserting the principle that governments are instituted among men to secure to them the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and must be changed whenever they become destructive of these rights, the document sets forth the grievances of the colonies against the King of Great Britain. Among these are recited refusal of the King to assent to laws wholesome and necessary for the public good; dissolving representative houses and refusing to cause others to be elected; trying to prevent population of these States; making judges dependent on his ■null alone; keeping standing armies among us In times of peace; cutting off our trade from all parts of the world; imposing taxes on us without our consent; depriving us of trial by jury; transporting us beyond seas to be tried; taking away our charters, *and plundering our seas, ravaging our coasts, and destroying the lives of our people. The declaration was written by Thomas Jefferson and concurred In by the four other members of the committee. The motion for announcing our independence, first made on June 7 by Richard Henry Lee of Virginia.
