CAMPAIGN PUNS MAPPED OUT BY G.OIEDITORS Clyde Walb Heard at Midi Summer Outing at Ft. Wayne. 1 Bit U*tti4 Preaa FT. WAYNE, IndL, June 25. —Campaign plans of the Republican party In Indiana were being mapped out today at the midsummer outing of the Indiana Republican Editorial ’ Association, Clyde Walb,,J3tate chairman, informed the editors he hoped to have ! 100,000 workers In the State taking* | a n active hand In the campaign this f fall. Cftes Twelfth District Walb cited the organization In the : Twelfth Congressional District, where he said fifteen workers have been enlisted in every precinct, making a total of 8,000 for the j district. Particular attention will be given i to organization of the 60,000 voters who will cast their first ballot this fall, Walb said. Conference Called i A conference of all State workers and candidates is to be held at Turt key Run Sta.e Park on July 21, it was announced. Resolutions were eadopted by the editorial association praising the record of President Coolldge and Indiana’s Republican members of Congress. Full support was pledged to the State and local tickets in the coming campaign. Jackson Heard Governor' Jackson addressed the banquet of the editors on Thursday night and told of progress in paying off the State debt and reduction of State taxes. By the end of this month the last of the State debt will have been paid, and there will be a balance of more than $10,000,000 in State funds, the Governor said. State candidates, editors and scores of .party ■workers were present at the gathering. One of the features of the outing was an inspection of the new plant of the Ft. Wayne News-Sentinel. CHURCH TO HAVE PICNIC Seventh Presbyterian Sunday School to Hold Outing at Garfield. The Seventh Prebyterian Sunday School, 828 Elm St., will have an oldfashioned picnic, Tuesday afternoon and evening at Garfield Park, according to Samuel E. Garrison, chairman of the executive committee. The outing was originally scheduled for June 16, but was postponed.
